Olivia + Austen

Olivia and Austen’s wedding was more than a single day, it was an unforgettable chapter in a 10-day Costa Rican adventure with their closest loved ones. As travel lovers who work remotely, they envisioned their elopement not just as a ceremony, but as a full experience. From start to finish, it was about connection, exploration, and creating memories across coastlines and volcanos.

Their journey began in Tamarindo at the adults-only Jardin del Eden Boutique Hotel, tucked just steps from the sand and perfect for unwinding before the big day. Olivia and Austen spent their first days soaking in the vibrant beach town, planning casual outings and sharing sunset cocktails with family. Olivia, thoughtful as ever, even packed her own speaker and curated playlist for the ceremony, blending simplicity with intentionality.

When wedding day arrived, they got ready separately. Olivia at Langosta Beach Resort, Austen just down the road at Jardin del Eden. Though they opted out of a first look, they exchanged private vows from around a corner with hands clasped, voices shaking, hearts full. It was one of the most emotional parts of the day.

The ceremony took place at Cala Luna Point, a stunning natural location where ocean cliffs meet wild coastline. The scene was kept minimal with bamboo chairs, a breezy tropical floral arch, and soft music playing as Olivia walked down the aisle with her mother. Her bouquet was vibrant with oranges, pinks, and textured greenery, tying in with their “beachy boho” aesthetic.

With just twelve people total, every guest had a front-row seat to the love story. Olivia and Austen kept things relaxed and meaningful, capping the ceremony with a seaside legal signing and group photos on the sand. There was no rush—just a gentle rhythm that mirrored the coastal surroundings.

Dinner followed at Agua Salada, a modern open-air restaurant in the heart of Tamarindo. Guests ordered off the menu while laughter echoed under the twinkle lights. A petite one-tier wedding cake, vanilla with strawberry cream filling, was decorated with fresh flowers and sat atop a clear cake stand. Olivia and Austen cut and served it themselves, adding a homey, unfiltered charm to the evening.

But their celebration didn’t end there. The next day, they walked to Iguana Surf Shop for a sunset surf lesson—barefoot, beaming, and still giddy from the night before. From Tamarindo, they traveled to Arenal Springs Resort where they soaked in volcanic hot springs, explored the rainforest, and took part in a hands-on cooking class at El Fogón de Chela. Their final stop was Playa Hermosa, where they spent their last days at Bosque del Mar, a boutique beach hotel surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil waters.
