Areli reached out to us after falling in love with photos of Tamara & Dave’s wedding at in Tamarindo at Pangas. If you want to see more of Tamara & Dave’s wedding, check out their feature on Junebug Weddings! Our values and style aligned well for creating the beautiful beach wedding Areli and Jorge wanted. We both knew from the start that we were an excellent fit for planning the wedding together.
The couple was envisioning a wedding with a soft tropical style, and fantastic guest experience was important to them. We chatted about their style and vibe, but Areli & Jorge didn’t even consider other venues because Pangas was it for them – love at first sight. The stunning Matapalo tree makes this venue such a special and unique location. There’s nothing like holding your ceremony on the beach, in front of this statuesque tree. The Tamarindo Estuary and the Pacific Ocean are even located right behind you!
Areli’s aesthetic was very clear from the beginning. White linens on round tables were chosen to break up the natural earth tones of the beach setting, providing the perfect base to highlight tropical flowers in a soft palette of pinks, yellows, greens, with touches of peach and purple. Areli & Jorge’s personal style shone through in their choices for attire. This bride wore a stunning Pronovias wedding gown that was stylish yet classic, perfectly complementing her timeless look. It matched perfectly with her Bagdley Mischka shoes and Kate Spade clutch. Jorge’s JB Clothiers suit was custom made which was obvious by the quality of the cut, the unexpected green fabric, and unique pattern for the inner lining.hepaired it with really sleek brown shoes from by Aston Grey.
Along with being a beautiful venue, Pangas also has that casual, fun beach vibe that represents the Pura Vida lifestyle. Pangas always provides impeccable service and food quality, which is so essential for the guest’s experience.
Not only is the wedding venue important but the accommodations the week of the wedding make a difference in the guest's experience. The group stayed at a fantastic private villa that had a beautiful view of the estuary and ocean. The entire wedding party got ready at the villa before Areli and Jorge had their first look. At the first look Areli and Jorge exchange letters and their own private vows. Areli chose to have a first look with her father as well, prior to seeing Jorge, which was incredibly sweet.
The violin and violoncello chosen for the ceremony and cocktail hour music added to the classic style of this wedding and flowed beautifully around the touching ceremony officiated by Ana Castro Calzada. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails through sunset before enjoying an intimate dinner tucked into the trees.
Once the toasting and dinner were complete, we turned the party over to DJ Teemor, who kept the party going with fun Latin music! A fun donut bar and a classic white cake adorned with tropical flowers were enjoyed for dessert.
