Lisa + Bastian are adventurous souls. They spent over 5 months traveling throughout South America and Central America, which was a long way from their home base of Germany. Over their travels Lisa purchased her wedding dress in Chile, Bastian picked out his belt in a market, and there were countless memories that made their love grow along the way.
They picked the date, June 13th, because it was their 101 month anniversary. They originally planned for their 100 month anniversary but traveled too slow to Costa Rica. In Lisa's words " It is actually perfect because now we have more occasions to celebrate!"
They loved being by the beach and knew they wanted a unique destination beach elopement. They quickly fell in love with Tamarindo, Costa Rica and we started planning their dream day!
They had a few priorities for their special day. Lisa knew she wanted flowers and eucalyptus in her hair, something very elegant and different. We decided on a morning ceremony shortly after sunrise to take advantage of the beautiful light and the peaceful morning atmosphere. This timing was so perfect for avoiding the possibility of seasonal rain showers later in the afternoon.
We found a beautiful beachfront bed and breakfast that was quiet and intimate. The couple got ready at their leisure while watching the sun reveal itself over the ocean. Lisa told us a bit about how she found her dress, by accident! She said " We just found it by accident and it just fit like a glove! Which was great because we also wouldn’t have the time to do any alterations. It was a match made in heaven. It was our last day in Santiago, Chile and we were off to the next destination soon. The main reason I took it was because Basti said it’s perfect, which made me feel so much more beautiful in it!" What a sweet story!
They got ready for the first looks and slipped on their attire from all over the world. They met in the garden for a romantic first look surrounded by greenery and florals. Lisa hugged her handsome man and he gleamed with joy as he saw her in her gown that he loved so much. You could feel the excitement in the air.
The light, the ocean, and the sounds of paradise felt so ethereal. They walked down the path to the shore to say their vows while standing a floral mandala that we made in the sand. The sun kept shining brighter and brighter and a cool morning breeze came through just before the big kiss.
After the beach ceremony, Lisa and Bastian enjoyed a cozy breakfast at Sueño del Mar before heading off to explore a little more. They snuggled up in a hammock to listen to the waves crashing onto the beach. They planned an entire day of wedding adventures, visiting different beaches in the area. They spent their first day married exploring and trying new things! Cheers to many more adventures left to come!
