Kait + Matt

brides attire details in the hotel room

This beautiful beachfront wedding in Tamarindo will really warm your heart. This perfect pair has been together for almost 6 years and met on match.com. Matt messaged Kait telling her he’d “respectfully date the sh*t out of her” and the rest was history. His wit and strong jawlines helped a little too.

Fast forward to a year later, they moved to New York City together. Matt proposed intimately in their new tiny apartment in Queens in front of their two dogs.

One of the many reasons they chose Costa Rica as a destination is because of the environment. Kait said, "I know hosting our wedding in such a sustainability forward and conscious country would have a low impact on the environment and high impact on the economy."

The wedding theme was “soft tropical”. They incorporated native vegetation of Costa Rica with subdued tones that were reflective of their personal style. The perfect mix of location and personal touch.

Kait wanted a dress that was flashy and would be easy to travel with. The sequins and modern neckline coupled with the classic silhouette fit her so perfectly. The gown was from Vagabond Bridal which she paired with Jimmy Choo heels. The groom wore a blue suit from Bonobos and shoes from Salvatore Ferragamo. The matron of honor was so stylish too and wearing earrings that the bride picked out with love.

The couple says their favorite part of the day was dinner. "Spirits were high from them having just sealed the deal and it was an opportunity to engage with family and friends in an intimate setting and begin the celebration."

For the last dance, they chose Your Song by Elton John because they wanted something classic that they would hear often as a reminder of such a special day. So sweet - cheers lovebirds!

Tips from the bride: Try to enjoy the moment. It is overwhelming and stressful but it is once in a lifetime. It is easy to lose perspective and get caught up in the details. Always center yourself back to what we referred to as “true north” – your union for the rest of your lives.
