Welcome to the beautiful Hacienda Pinilla, where Susie + Cody started forever together with this blissful beachside wedding! This stunning couple initially met in Santa Barbara and dated for six years before Cody popped the question. When it came to deciding where to hold their dream destination wedding, Costa Rica was the obvious choice as they shared special memories of their first solo vacation here a few years before. We loved bringing to life their classic and sophisticated wedding weekend in a modern tropical style.

Susie has a background in interior design, so she came to us with a clear vision of what her perfect wedding aesthetic would look like. Our team coordinated and executed all the small details, so she could relish in the celebration and enjoy the day to the fullest!

The overall wedding design was simple and elegant, inspired by the tropical colors of Costa Rica. The color palette included shades of white, ivory, soft ginger pink, yellow mustard, coral, and lush greenery.

The beachfront ceremony was held in the Beach Club Garden, with the palm trees dancing in the wind and the sound of waves crashing in the background. They shared an intimate, unplugged ceremony with a close friend officiating and incorporated the Jewish tradition of breaking glass. The atmosphere was comfortable yet vibrant and warm as they said their “I dos”.

Orchids, Torch, Bird of Paradise, celosia, snapdragons, maraca, ginger, anthurium, and crisantemos, along with abundant greenery, were used to create magnificent floral arrangements and elevate the decor. The square ceremonial arch was completely covered in ombre florals, with a base of tropical foliage.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to the cocktail hour just steps away from the beach. Susie's cocktail was a passion fruit margarita, while Cody's was a classic mojito. The dinner scene decor featured white linen, wood tones, gold accents, and rattan basket hanging lights. For the reception, the tables were set up in a U-shape around the warmly lit hardwood dance floor. Gold lanterns, pillar candles, and clear glass votives added to the ambiance.

Overall, Susie + Cody's wedding was a perfect reflection of their personalities and the natural beauty of Costa Rica.
