They met in Long Beach, California in 2017, and from the moment Josh made the first move, something just clicked. Life threw them curveballs early on, from a six-month military deployment to a global pandemic, but distance and challenges only brought them closer.
The couple married in 2020 at a ticket booth in California, a moment made intimate by the world shutting down but deeply personal in its meaning. Shortly after, they welcomed their daughter Reagan, adding new joy to the home they had already begun building together. Over the years, they’ve grown through long-distance calls, career changes, travel, and some of life’s hardest and most beautiful moments.
Five years to the day after their first vows, Brynn and Josh gathered with their loved ones in Costa Rica to celebrate a vow renewal that reflected the journey they’ve walked side by side. From horseback rides and zipline adventures to catamaran cruises, the weekend was full of movement, meaning, and memory-making.
The ceremony took place on the beach at the Westin Playa Conchal. A arch built from natural branches framed the shoreline, with rich blooms in moody hues cascading from its base.
Guests were welcomed with fresh coconuts at the “Pura Vida” pipas wall, and a memorial chair with 13 white flowers stood in honor of loved ones.

Following their heartfelt vows and a collective cheer of “We do!” from their guests, the celebration moved to the reception. Brynn and Josh dined under hanging rattan lanterns and amber glassware. The candlelight that danced against the sunset sky.
