Ashley and Peter met the way many great modern love stories begin—at a bar in Southern California. What started as a casual meeting blossomed into a connection that was effortless, lasting, and full of laughter. After six years together, Peter planned a surprise proposal at the Ojai Valley Inn, creating a quiet and meaningful moment between just the two of them. It was intimate, genuine, and exactly their style—much like the wedding they went on to plan.
For their destination wedding in Costa Rica, Ashley and Peter envisioned something understated yet luxurious, grounded in nature and full of fun. They chose the beachfront hideaway of Sueño del Mar in Playa Langosta as the setting for their chic, tropical celebration with 38 guests. The entire experience felt elevated but relaxed, blending lush greenery with warm hospitality, good food, and the best company.
The weekend kicked off with a sunset welcome party at Dragonfly restaurant, where they gathered with friends and family over shared plates and cold drinks under the terrace. Guests received personalized welcome bags with Turkish towels and tumblers—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the rest of the celebration. Peter and Ashley curated the evening around connection, conversation, and of course, amazing food.
On the wedding day, guests were guided down a softly lit path lined with glowing LED bags, leading them to the beach ceremony at golden hour. A rounded arch with 60% greenery and 40% soft white florals framed the view of the ocean. Palm fronds, monstera, and soft ferns danced in the breeze, complemented by delicate orchids and roses. Guests sipped cold coco locos and Papagayo Brewing beers from a beautifully styled coconut shelf as they arrived. A sweet touch came from the couple’s flower boy, who scattered petals from a tiny basket before Ashley made her entrance.
Ashley’s bouquet was effortlessly romantic, filled with soft white florals and delicate dark greenery, finished with a chic ribbon wrap. Peter wore a single white bloom on his lapel. As part of the ceremony, they honored Jewish tradition with the breaking of the glass—cheered on by their loved ones as the sun dipped lower on the horizon.

After sunset portraits on the sand, the party moved to the lawn beneath twinkling bistro lights. Each table was styled with a central arrangement of tropical greens and soft florals, surrounded by bud vases and floating candles that added a golden glow. Their sweetheart table featured an oversized floral centerpiece, creating a gorgeous focal point under the stars.
