Kellie and Patrick’s love story began with a little help from their roommates, who set them up on a blind date. Their first date took place at a craft beer spot halfway between Miami, where Kellie lived, and Fort Lauderdale, where Patrick was based. By the end of the date, they had already made plans to see each other again the next day at the beach, and from that point on, they rarely spent a weekend apart. Fast forward a few years, after Kellie completed physical therapy school and they moved in together, the couple started building a life that included their two dogs, Olive and Gary, and a new home.
Patrick proposed during a pandemic stroll at a local park, catching Kellie completely by surprise. After a short walk in the heat, Patrick popped the question under the shade of a tree, getting down on one knee faster than Kellie had ever seen him move. The intimate moment was made even more special by Patrick’s sister, who had been hiding nearby to capture the proposal. Later, they celebrated with family at a brunch, complete with a surprise visit from Kellie’s sister who flew in from Boston.
Their wedding day at Pangas Beach Club was a perfect reflection of their love for the beach, nature, and each other. The couple’s design vision was all about embracing a boho and rustic aesthetic, with neutral earth tones like olive, burgundy, and dusty rose woven throughout the decor.
The guests were welcomed by coco locos served in a wooden boat as they stepped on to the sand for the ceremony. The tone was set with bright fresh cut flowers mixed with dried palms arranged beautifully and placed on wood pillars for the arch. The couple exchanged vows under the lush, tropical canopy of the iconic Pangas tree with their closest family and friends there to witness.

Dinner was an intimate affair, with guests seated at long, wooden tables with tropical greenery and soft floral accents. The couple’s focus on good food and casual elegance was reflected in the family-style meal, where everyone gathered to share in the joy of the day. The décor was minimalistic, with touches of wood, macramé, and soft candlelight, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere as the sun set over the beach. The atmosphere was calm, easy, and beautiful—just as they had hoped.

Throughout it all, Kellie and Patrick’s love for each other shone through. As Patrick puts it, “Kellie is smart, kind, and unselfish. She encourages me to be my best and supports me in everything I do.” For Kellie, what she loves most about Patrick is his fun-loving nature, patience, and the way he always makes her feel grounded and present. Looking ahead, Kellie and Patrick are excited to continue growing together, both in their relationship and in life. “We don’t expect much to change day-to-day, but we’re looking forward to committing ourselves to each other and building a stronger bond as we move forward,” says Kellie. Their elegant wedding in Langosta was the perfect start to this new chapter. Congrats you two!
