Marybeth + Jason's elegant wedding in Las Catalinas was flawlessly planned and executed in the stunning location of Playa Danta. This modern couple envisioned a celebration that perfectly reflected their style and personalities, and we had the honor of bringing their destination wedding vision to life.
The bride wore a stunning long-sleeved sheer dress adorned with sparkles, while the groom sported a delicate white orchid and simple greenery as his boutonniere. With a color palette inspired by muted and pale earthy tones such as blue, green, rust, and pink, their wedding exuded a serene and timeless ambiance.
As a couple, Marybeth + Jason share a love for riding motorcycles, savoring delicious meals, and spending quality time outdoors with their beloved dog. Their engagement was a complete surprise for the bride, with Jason popping the question during a family beach vacation in OBX, North Carolina. He chose a breathtaking setting at a sand dunes state park, capturing the magical moment as a professional photographer immortalized it.
The wedding itself was a blend of romance and natural beauty. The ceremony took place on the beachfront, with guests being welcomed with fresh coconuts as they took their seats. The ceremonial flowers predominantly featured white blooms, including orchids, lilies, snapdragons, peonies, and roses, complemented by touches of greenery.
Ceremony starts: Turning Page by Sleeping at Last
Ceremony ends: Is This Love by Bob Marley
Mother + Son dance: The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra
Daughter + Father dance: The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra
Last song of the night: First Date by Taylor Acorn
During the cocktail hour, guests enjoyed craft cocktails featuring Costa Rican tropical fruits, immersing themselves in the captivating sunset and the country's enchanting natural beauty.
The dinner ambiance was vibrant and lively, with a table scape adorned with flowers ranging from pink, orange, red, and various shades. Rich greenery was incorporated into the rattan lighting, adding a boho tropical touch. Each place setting featured a mini pineapple with the guest's name, and the all-white cake was elegantly adorned with fresh flowers, complete with a cute surprise— a mini lab peeking out from underneath.
