Kailyn + Rob

Exotic Intimate Wedding in Tamarindo Beach

Kailyn and Robert’s love story began at a Valentine’s Day party hosted by mutual friends, where they first connected in a quirky way—while waiting in line for the bathroom! Three weeks later, they went on their first date, and the rest, as they say, is history. Having been together for over five years, the couple shares a deep love for adventure, travel, and exploring new destinations. Kailyn, who has visited over 30 countries, has a goal to see all seven modern wonders of the world. Robert, an avid pilot, enjoys flying anything with wings and is always eager to explore the skies. A true adventure couple.

The proposal was a complete surprise. Robert popped the question on the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy, a special place for both of them. With a candy Ring Pop, he made the moment memorable, although Kailyn didn’t immediately realize it was a serious proposal. It wasn’t until Robert suggested they go ring shopping that the reality hit, and their engagement became official.

One of the most heartwarming moments of Kailyn and Robert’s journey is the way they speak about each other. Kailyn describes Robert as "very smart, loving, and thoughtful," adding that "he is always up for an adventure and keeps life fun and exciting." She fondly refers to him as her “handyman” because “he can pretty much do anything and is good at just about everything, which is both amazing and a little annoying because we’re both really competitive!” Robert equally adores Kailyn, praising her ability to “make our house a home and be an amazing dog mom.” He says, “Kailyn is always up for the adventure, and she balances me out perfectly. She’s my first-choice travel buddy, and even supports my airplane hobby!”

Their love for adventure, fun, and balance makes their connection truly special—qualities they’ve brought to life in their wedding day.

For their Costa Rican wedding, Kailyn and Robert wanted to embrace the natural beauty of the country while keeping the design timeless and elegant. They envisioned a palette of whites, greenery, and gold accents, with touches of light pink. String lights and candles will add a warm and inviting atmosphere, reflecting their love for adventure and togetherness. They’ve chosen classic, beachy vibes for their wedding, aiming to create an “Insta-worthy” event that feels both charming and laid-back.

Kailyn and Robert chose Pangas Beach Club for both their ceremony and reception, one of the couple's favorite venues in Costa Rica. With its lush tropical beach, towering trees, and the occasional appearance of a curious monkey, it’s the perfect backdrop for their laid-back, yet elegant celebration. The goal was to infuse the event with the vibrant energy of the Pura Vida spirit while keeping the design personal and reflective of their chic, adventurous style. To welcome everyone, the couple added a fun Costa Rican twist by serving coconut cocktails from a pipa boat—a refreshing and unique touch that added to the carefree yet stylish vibe of the day!

For the ceremony, Kailyn and Robert exchanged vows under the iconic big tree at Pangas. The couple opted for a ground arch in a half-circle shape, filled with tropical foliage and a stunning array of flowers like orchids, torch flowers, celosia, snapdragons, and ginger, along with lush greenery. With gold pots of tropical blooms marking the aisle entrance and wooden chairs perfectly positioned under the grand tree, the ceremony had the perfect balance of nature and elegance.
