Morgan + Dylan's fiery beach wedding in Conchal was a true adventure from start to finish! These two were a couple of firefighters who met during training at the Fire Academy for Las Vegas Fire + Rescue. They envisioned an unforgettable weekend with their family and friends, exploring the natural beauty of Costa Rica enveloped in the Pura Vida spirit.
The newlyweds joined their guests in staying at The Westin Reserva Playa Conchal, an all-inclusive golf resort + spa in Guanacaste Province. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with personalized itineraries so that they could kick back and relax once they knew the daily layouts.
As a lively and energetic couple, they wanted to incorporate their fiery personalities and style into their wedding agenda - which meant jam-packed weekend exploring Costa Rica - so to kick off the festivities we planned for a waterfall hike in the stunning Parque Nacional Rincón de la Vieja. Instead of the traditional rehearsal dinner, they practiced the ceremony intimately with the bridal parties then joined all their guests in a magical sunset Catamaran Cruise. The days following the wedding were filled with beach trips and more adventures like ATV jungle rides and ziplining!
Morgan + Dylan shared the sweetest intimate first look where they privately read aloud their vows to one another. Morgan carried a bouquet of white and ivory flowers, such as orchids, roses, lisianthus, and snapdragons, with shades of green from eucalyptus, palms, amaranthus, calathea, ruscus, and philodendron. While Dylan had a boutonniere of orchids and anthuriums to complement Morgan’s bouquet.

Their ceremony at Playa Conchal made for an utterly magical atmosphere, where they wed with white sand beneath their feet and basked in the breathtaking view of the ocean's shore. The brides’ brother was the officiant, who stood underneath the wooden circular arch that was partially covered in green foliage, creating a naturalistic setting for the ceremony. Everything coordinated together seamlessly, as the groom wore a navy blue suit with a sage green tie that matched the bridesmaids’ dresses.
The reception took place at the Westin Caracola, a cozy and elegant restaurant with a stunning view. The newlyweds dined at an intimate sweetheart table, while listening to the speeches and toasts from their loved ones. Morgan changed into her personalized converse shoes that read “Just Married” on the soles, adding a touch of humor and personality to her outfit.

Hors d’oeuvres: Shrimp fried wontons with plum sauce, marinated chicken skewers, smoked salmon with cream cheese canape, poached pear, blue cheese, arugula crostini, caramelized goat cheese and onion flatbread, grilled shrimp with mango salsa shot
Appetizer: Salad station - grilled chicken, anchovies, croutons, parmesan, Caesar dressing, grilled mushrooms, pram cheese, basil, toasted pine nuts, truffle vinaigrette, tomato mozzarella salad, fresh basil pesto, organic greens, pears, and candied pecans
Main course: Grilled Mahi- Mahi with tomato sofrito, grilled arrachera steak with green pepper sauce, pan-roasted chicken breast with lemon caper cream, and beef medallions on a mustard and peppercorn sauce
Sides: Potato gnocchi with brown butter and sage, mushroom risotto, mac and cheese gratin, and grilled zucchini
Dessert: Lemon meringue tart, guava cheesecake, chocolate brownies with dulce de Leche, and apple with nuts strudel
We loved the trend that the couple incorporated in their special day to recognize other couples. The groom announced an "Anniversary Dance" where all spouses were invited to the dance floor and recognized the couple that has been married the longest - so sweet! It was a fiery and fabulous beach wedding, and we were so happy to be part of Morgan + Dylan’s dream celebration!
