With the perfect blends of bohemian charm, glamorous touches, and tropical vibes, Shayla + AJ had their dreams come true with this breathtaking glam beach wedding. This sweet and adventurous couple came to us in the midst of Covid in hopes of planning the perfect destination wedding. From the moment we met them, their infectious energy and love for life inspired us to create an unforgettable celebration in Costa Rica.
Shayla + AJ dreamed of creating a three-day celebration for ~50 of their closest friends and family. We made sure to curate a travel and party experience that would leave a lasting impression on everyone. They had a vision for a bohemian-style ceremony and reception that would enchant their guests. They desired a location that was unique and exotic, away from traditional beach settings. After careful consideration, we found the perfect venue for their intimate wedding at Sueno del Mar. Nestled in a tropical paradise, this venue offered the ideal blend of rustic charm and coastal elegance.

Embracing their favorite colors, neutrals, whites, tans, browns, and greens, we crafted a design that reflected their earthy and modern aesthetic. The ceremony took place on the beach of Playa Langosta, adorned with a circle arbor filled with half pampas grass and half dense greenery. Vintage rugs created a charming aisle, leading to an arch featuring loose leaves and minimal palms.
For the reception, we transformed Los Olivos into a cozy and intimate space. Natural wood and bamboo furniture, including an adorable sweetheart table with rattan peacock chairs for the bride and groom, set the stage for an enchanting evening. String lights and lanterns added a romantic ambiance, while tropical elements like dried grasses, plants, and baskets enhanced the bohemian vibe.
Florals played a significant role in the design. Delicate and neutral arrangements featuring lisianthus, astilbe, and dried elements adorned the tables. Centerpieces showcased amber bottles, terracotta accents, and tapered candles, exuding an understated elegance. Burnt orange napkins added a touch of warmth and vibrancy.
Wedding Day Menu

As the sun set, a wood dance floor became the focal point of the reception space. String lights and hanging lanterns illuminated the night, creating a magical atmosphere. And let's not forget their show-stopping cake—a nine-layer cookie cake with frosting in the middle, the perfect sweet treat to celebrate their love. Their wedding celebration in Costa Rica was a true reflection of their unique style and vibrant personalities.
