Amber + Thiago

Celebrate love in paradise with Amber + Thiago at their intimate beach wedding in Flamingo, Costa Rica. Amber + Thiago are an adventurous couple who met organically and quickly fell in love, then decided to embark on a journey together moving to Australia and backpacking through Thailand along the way. It was our honor to bring their destination wedding vision to life, creating a memorable and enchanting experience for the couple and their loved ones.

Their love story began when they met while working at a bar in 2014, and they have been inseparable ever since. Thiago surprised Amber with a heartfelt proposal on a mountain trail, where he got down on one knee while they were ice skating. It was a magical moment that left Amber overjoyed.

On the day of the wedding, Amber adorned a pearl bracelet with sentimental value, passed down from her great-grandmother, creating a beautiful connection to her family's past. The couple exchanged handwritten vows in customized books while getting ready, and Thiago sported custom-made leather suspenders with their initials etched on them. As the bridal party prepared for the celebration, the groomsmen enjoyed sipping whiskey while the bridesmaids popped bubbly.

Describing their wedding style as carefree, boho, and magical, Amber + Thiago envisioned a relaxed beach setting for the ceremony and the reception adorned with beautiful sparkling lights and an earthy, easy-going vibe. Thiago's mom even described their style as "Mama Mia Vibes." Our team knew that Margaritaville would be the perfect venue to get these two hitched!

For the reception, they opted for a fun alternative to a guest book, providing Jenga blocks for guests to sign as a game and keepsake. The dessert selection included a vanilla cake with chocolate filling and a delectable passion fruit cheesecake. Instead of a bouquet toss, Amber chose to honor the longest-married couple by gifting them her bouquet.
