Marisa and Garrett chose one of Costa Rica’s most magical locations for their intimate wedding day, exchanging vows surrounded by rainforest beauty at Peace Lodge.
Nestled in the mountains near La Paz Waterfall Gardens, the lodge is known for its lush landscapes, misty forests, wildlife, and breathtaking waterfall views, making it an unforgettable destination for a romantic elopement.
With only a handful of loved ones joining them, the day was intentionally personal, peaceful, and centred around what mattered most. The morning began slowly at Peace Lodge, where Marisa enjoyed getting ready in the comfort of their suite while hair and makeup took place on-site. Before the ceremony, the photographer captured meaningful details including rings, florals, and quiet moments shared with family.
Marisa also shared special pre-ceremony moments with the younger girls in matching robes before everyone dressed for the ceremony. These lighthearted memories added warmth and family connection to the day, creating a beautiful contrast to the dramatic natural surroundings outside.
Later, Marisa and Garrett shared a private first look somewhere within the Peace Lodge grounds, giving them a chance to see each other and take in the moment before the ceremony began. With the rainforest around them and anticipation building, it was one of the most emotional and intimate parts of the day.
Their ceremony took place at the gazebo overlooking the stunning Magia Blanca Waterfall, one of the most spectacular ceremony backdrops in Costa Rica. Garrett stood waiting beside the officiant as flower girls made their entrance, followed by Marisa walking with her brother Jeremy. Against the sound of rushing water and surrounded by tropical greenery, the couple exchanged vows in a setting that felt cinematic and deeply serene.

After the ceremony, guests stayed for photographs before returning toward the shuttle, while Marisa and Garrett remained for portraits around the waterfall trails and gardens. The misty forest paths, dramatic cascades, and peaceful mountain atmosphere created extraordinary photo opportunities that felt both adventurous and timeless.
That evening, the newlyweds gathered with their guests for a private fireside dinner inside Peace Lodge. Candlelight, a tropical floral centrepiece, and a bottle of sparkling wine created a warm and elegant atmosphere for dinner. The celebration ended with a sweetheart red velvet cake topped with flowers, adding one final romantic touch to the evening.
Marisa and Garrett’s Peace Lodge elopement was a wedding does not need a large guest list to feel extraordinary. With waterfalls, rainforest luxury, and meaningful moments shared with those closest to them, their Costa Rica wedding was intimate, elevated, and unforgettable.
