Love was the destination from the start for Olivia and Storm. These two knew they wanted a celebration that felt meaningful, intimate, and unforgettable and Costa Rica delivered all that and more.

After getting engaged in July 2024, they dreamed of a micro wedding somewhere magical. What they didn’t expect was falling in love with a destination they hadn’t even considered at first. But when Olivia found our team and saw how Costa Rica embraced small, beautiful weddings, her excitement returned full force and Las Catalinas became the perfect place for them to say “I do.”

With just twelve of their closest loved ones, Olivia and Storm planned a stunning, all-white chic wedding that prioritized connection, style, and stress-free joy. It was exactly the kind of experience they’d been craving: one where food, family, and photography took center stage, without the pressure of a large production. Their style was simple yet elegant, clean yet romantic with thoughtful touches that added sentiment and soul.

Olivia looked radiant in a gown with a long, curled low ponytail and subtle braids. She carried a timeless bouquet of white and pale blooms accented with dried elements, eucalyptus, and hints of baby’s breath. Storm wore a sleek all-black tux, making for a striking contrast beside his bride.

The ceremony design was airy, refined, and beautifully neutral. White floral arrangements sat atop six modern pedestals framing the altar, while bud vases and ribbons tied to each aisle chair added softness.

Each detail felt personal and warm. Guests were greeted with passed starfruit lemonades and took their seats on x-back chairs, surrounded by coastal air and soft candlelight. Olivia and Storm exchanged vows in a private, heartfelt ceremony with a backdrop of Las Catalinas’ coastal charm.

Dinner was held at a long table set for twelve, styled with a neutral color palette and soft textures. The table was designed with ivory napkins, woven charger plates, gold flatware, and gold-rimmed glassware. Bud vases and clusters of taper candles ran the length of the table, bringing warm glow and graceful elegance to the evening.

The bride added a playful personal touch with custom cocktail stirrers printed with their dog’s face—a fun surprise that captured their sense of humor and love for their furry friend. Although there was no dance floor or DJ, the celebration was full of laughter, heartfelt toasts, and meaningful conversation that kept the night flowing effortlessly.

Wedding Day Menu
Hors d' oeuvres: Arancini with mozzarella, crostini with antipasto, sweet potato and bacon croquettes
Appetizer: Baked eggplant, Korean short ribs, gonchujang- ginger glaze and seared tuna Caesar
Main course: Pan-seared fish with soy and grilled veggies, tenderloin with shrimp surf and turf
Dessert: Churchill snow cones
Though the wedding was small, Olivia and Storm brought intention and emotion to every element. Olivia planned surprise gifts for their parents, including personalized clutches for the mothers with photo linings and a custom tie for her dad sewn with a picture of the two of them. These keepsakes, alongside the intimate setting, made the entire celebration feel even more connected and heartfelt.

What they loved most? The chance to celebrate their love story with the people who matter most, in a setting that felt both luxurious and laid-back. It was everything they envisioned and more: chic, peaceful, unforgettable.
