Michael and Meghan are from Massachusetts in the United States. We actually met them at another wedding that we planned in Tamarindo a few years before. Since they already trusted us with their wedding vision, since they had seen our work before, we had an easy laidback time planning this Playa Conchal wedding weekend.
There was something extra special about these two. Their love was shining through right from the start. We planned more than just the big day for this couple. We wanted to give them and their guests an experience that no one would ever forget! Most of the guests had been to Costa Rica for the previously mentioned wedding too! So we wanted to do things a little differently. Everything started with a catamaran cruise for the group the day before the wedding. They loved soaking in the views on the water. It was the perfect kick-off to the adventure.
Meghan and Mike picked Playa Conchal for their wedding because of the stunning views, calm atmosphere, and easy accessibility. The Reserva Conchal Beach Club was a great venue because of the many options for wedding event locations and all of the guests could stay on site.
Just like any outdoor beach wedding, we wanted to be prepared for anything. We made sure that we also had a plan B in case of any sign of a drizzle. We are so glad that we did because just before the ceremony, clouds started rolling in. Everyone acted quickly and transformed the secondary area in just minutes.
Cata designed every detail for this couple. She helped them decide on big details such as the ceremony arch, the plates, and the lighting. Then she helped with the little details too such as the bouquet, the silverware, and the tablescape decor. Meghan said, "Everything came together better than we could have ever imagined, we were blown away!"
We loved the bright floral choices for the bridesmaid's bouquets. They were a great contrast with the bride's more traditional bouquet. All of the bridesmaids wore a different style gown too! That way each girl showed off her own unique style.
Sol was the day of coordinator for this wedding. Meghan and Sol clicked immediately! (No surprise, everyone loves Sol!) She was always available to the clients no matter what, so the couple could really soak in every precious moment.
Having the wedding ceremony off of the beach, because of the rain, ended up being a blessing. Now they have an even more diverse wedding album! The bride was glowing as the walked the brick path to her groom. You could feel the magic in the air.
The rain didn't last long and everyone headed to the sandy shore of Playa Conchal for wedding photos. This was an intimate wedding party so everyone knew one another. This makes for a really fun photoshoot.
Like most wedding days do, the hours passed so quickly. Before you knew it, it was time for dinner. Everyone walked into the reception venue which had been transformed to include a long table for everyone, string lights for ambiance, and a large dance floor for the after-hours party.
The name cards were beautiful marble slabs with gold lettering. They complimented the gold plates so perfectly. For an extra pop of color we included green glassware for the guests and white glassware for the couple!
After a few touching toasts, it was time for dessert! The couple wanted to provide a few options. There was chocolate, strawberry, lemon, blueberry, and more. There was really something for everyone.
It was a perfect wedding night for a perfect couple. Congrats Meghan + Mike. Thank you for trusting us with your special day.
