Danielle and Vince’s wedding journey took an unexpected turn when their original plans to marry in Kauai were canceled just weeks before their December wedding due to travel restrictions. With a honeymoon already planned in Costa Rica for January, they made the spontaneous decision to combine their wedding and honeymoon, making the most of their tropical getaway. Joined by their parents, the couple embraced the intimate nature of their micro-wedding, creating a truly personal and unforgettable celebration.
The couple found inspiration for their day from one of our previous weddings, Cheyenne and Jake’s, and fell in love with the idea of incorporating vibrant, tropical flowers into their ceremony. They chose Pangas Beach Club in Tamarindo, a stunning venue known for its beachfront setting and natural beauty. With the potential for beach curfews in mind, Pangas offered a perfect solution by allowing the couple to have both their ceremony and dinner in one scenic location. The venue’s iconic big tree provided a breathtaking backdrop for their vows, ensuring their dream of a beachside wedding was fulfilled without a hitch.
For the ceremony, Danielle and Vince opted for a minimalist yet beautiful setup that perfectly matched the intimate scale of their wedding. A free-standing two-post wooden arch framed the couple, decorated with warm sunset tones of burnt orange, rich pinks, and pops of tropical dark green foliage. Touches of yellow and red were incorporated into Danielle’s bouquet, which featured a loose cascade of tropical flowers with soft, open blooms. With just four guests seated on simple chairs with white cushions, the ceremony embraced the natural beauty of Costa Rica while highlighting the couple’s love for simplicity and elegance.
Although their wedding plans shifted from a large celebration in Kauai to an intimate elopement in Costa Rica, Danielle and Vince embraced the change wholeheartedly. The couple’s post-ceremony dinner was kept small and private, allowing them to fully enjoy the beauty of their surroundings and the company of their loved ones.
