Megan and Michael's love story began in the midst of COVID, when the world was paused and real connection felt more important than ever. They met in August 2020 and quickly became each other’s favorite person. In early 2022, they took their first international trip together to Tamarindo, Costa Rica, a place that sparked something lasting. They shared meals at Pangas Beach Club, soaked in the sun, and dreamed of what their future together might look like. Fast forward to February 15, 2025, and they were back at that very same spot to say “I do.”

The couple brought their closest friends and family to Tamarindo for a wedding experience that was relaxed, timeless, and beautifully designed. Guests stayed at the Diria and surrounding villas, enjoying surf sessions, boating adventures, and quality time together in the days leading up to the big event. Megan, who works in PR for major consumer brands like LEGO, brought her organizational superpowers to the planning process—ensuring every detail was dialed in months in advance. Michael, a software engineer in NYC, trusted her instincts completely, and together they created an experience full of ease and beauty.

On the morning of the wedding, Megan and her bridesmaids soaked in the tropical sunshine by the pool, dressed in matching colorful pajama sets and each rocking unique sunglasses. It was a relaxed, joy-filled start to the day as they flipped through the custom-designed wedding weekend newspaper Megan had created - complete with schedules, local tips, and personal notes for each guest. The moment captured the essence of Megan’s thoughtfulness and style: laid-back yet polished, with just the right amount of personality and flair.

As most mornings do, the hours went quickly - before we knew it Megan was slipping into a strapless gown with modern lines and a sweeping silhouette, paired with a soft glam look and an up do to die for. The first look with the girls says it all - she was WOW stunning!

Her dad however, could not even hide the tears once he saw his little girl all grown up! A special moment they will remember forever.

The ceremony took place at Pangas, with a textured aisle lined with rugs, creating a grounded, intimate walkway down to the altar. A semi circle floral arrangement, full of white and green blooms, framed the couple against the iconic tree. The design echoed the couple’s vision: earthy, chic, and romantic.

Every detail of Megan and Michael’s wedding reflected their playful, creative spirit—especially the signage. Guests were welcomed by a custom sign swaying gently in the ocean breeze. At the reception, a draped cocktail menu added a stylish touch to the bar setup, while personalized matchbooks featuring their beloved dogs were scattered throughout. One of the most unique elements was the constellation guest book, where friends and family signed stars in the night sky - a dreamy nod to love written in the stars. Lastly, everyone was invited to “leave a message” on a vintage rotary phone guest book - seriously no detail let undone here!

Dinner was held at round wooden tables encircling the dance floor, each adorned with brown napkins, tropical greenery, candles, and delicate white flowers. The boho chandeliers overhead gave the space a soft glow and richness.

Later in the night, Megan changed into a gemmed mini dress and metallic heels, ready to hit the dance floor. Guests celebrated under the stars and disco balls until the very end. The evening wrapped up with a sparkler exit, sending the couple off into their next adventure in true Costa Rican style - joyful, warm, and full of light.
