Cassie + Shawn's wedding disco by the sea is a week-long celebration filled with exploration, adventure, and a whole lot of fun! The contagious energy of this magnetic couple was fueled by the love they had for each other, which radiated throughout the celebration. The celebration began with action-packed days before the wedding, setting the tone for the unforgettable weekend ahead. Beginning with a catamaran cruise and zip-lining adventure to ATV rides, deep-sea fishing, waterfall excursions, dolphin watching, and cliff diving, the couple and their guests were fully immersed in an adventurous experience.
Their love story began at an EDM rave, and their connection quickly grew. They have experienced many adventures together, from traveling the world to parenting three fur children. Their proposal at their favorite place on earth, the San Juan Islands, was nothing short of magical.
Personal touches were everywhere, from the bride's updo delicately adorned with simple jewels to the matching his and her vow books engraved with their initials. The bridesmaids' palm tree PJs and mismatched muted-gold colored dresses added a touch of personality and fun to the bridal party's look.
The groomsmen wore matching brown suspenders, and the groom's boutonniere featured a single white orchid with a touch of greenery. The floral arrangements were breathtaking, featuring cascading white orchids and pampas grass. The bride's bouquet was a work of art, including cascading white orchids, pampas grass, and large green foliage.
Guests were welcomed with cold pipas, adding a tropical touch to the ceremony. The reception area was adorned with hanging disco balls and a picturesque lounge area with a "Pura Vida" sign, reflecting the couple's love for Costa Rica.
The wedding ceremony featured a color story with neutral tones and shades of green, with modern black and gold accents. The decor included lots of dried grasses, showcasing a classic and sustainable approach.

Hors d’oeuvres: Patacones with guacamole, chicken skewers with a coconut curry sauce, fried goat cheese with mango chutney, and mixed seafood ceviche shots
Appetizer: Mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, shredded carrot, red pepper, red onions, heart of palm, avocado, sweet corn, goat cheese patties, and choice of 2 vinaigrettes: passion fruit and balsamic.
Main course: Marinated Mahi - Mahi and marinated flank steak served with 3 sauces: chimichurri, chipotle aioli, and diabla
Sides: Corn & flour tortillas, guacamole, pico de gallo, pineapple coleslaw, fried plantain, grilled vegetable skewers, rice and beans
Dessert: Fresh fruit skewers with chocolate and mini churros
The reception was equally elegant and simplistic, with a tablescape designed to create an inviting atmosphere. Guests were invited to sign a pictured guestbook and were gifted white sunglasses as party favors to add flair to the dance floor. A special touch was the presence of a cigar roller, and the bar was named after the couple's beloved fur-baby, Winston the cat.
As the sun set over the celebration, the sky painted a stunning array of colors, adding to the magical atmosphere of the evening. Late-night snacks of pulled pork and beef empanadas and churros for dessert kept the energy high all night. The tequila flowed freely, and the dance floor was alive with energy as the couple and their guests celebrated and made memories that would last a lifetime.
Throughout the week, Cassie + Shawn's love for each other, their love for life, and their adventurous spirits made their wedding an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. Pura Vida indeed awaited them as they began their journey as a married couple.
