Marjean + David wanted the full getaway experience so we planned a 2 week trip for them filled with adventures from day one! When Marjean and David arrived they were greeted with private transportation from San Jose to their romantic chalet named the Eden Treehouse in Monteverde. This private getaway was so cute it had two levels with forest views, a canopied bed, a stone waterfall shower, and a private jacuzzi in a garden balcony. Just before nightfall, just as the creatures were beginning to wake up, they headed out to explore with their guide to search for the various animals, insects, and amphibians within the reserve. They saw everything from snakes, spiders like the hole-dwelling tarantula, blue-crowned motmots, agoutis, porcupines, tree frogs, and more. Their naturalist guide explained all about these creatures and their habitats.
The next day they went for a bit more adventure! Together they soared through the treetops of the Cloud Forest on a Canopy Zipline Adventure. This high-flying, high-speed canopy course consisted of 15 ziplines and a giant Tarzan swing! The canopy zipline is one of Costa Rica's top attractions. This one-of-a-kind adrenaline-packed tour brings thousands of people every year from all over the world! After their tour, they headed back to their treehouse retreat to relax before the next adventure in La Fortuna.
They traveled by boat across Arenal Lake which provided some of the best photo ops of the imposing volcano. Then they arrived to their next hotel the Arenal Nayara Hotel & Gardens with a beautiful balcony overlooking the volcano and private outdoor volcano view jacuzzi. That afternoon, they went on an easy hike through the rainforest with a bilingual naturalist guide who taught them all about the abundant wildlife, flora & fauna that are native to this tropical paradise. They hiked up to the observation point to see a jawdropping view of the Arenal Volcano. Then they headed down to relax in the Tabacon Hot Springs and bathe in the natural mineral-rich waters.
The following day they went rafting down one of Costa Rica's best Whitewater Rafting rivers, the Rio Balsa. The professional guides lead them through class II and III rapids that were both thrilling and had phenomenal views. This fun-filled adventure gave them countless memories and stories to last a lifetime. They enjoyed lunch on the shores as they laughed and giggled in the sun.
The next day they were guided through the canopy of the Cloud Forest on suspended bridges for a bird’s eye view of the animals that inhabit the jungle. They spent the rest of the evening exploring the local towns and soaking in the jacuzzi at night.
The next morning a private shuttle took them to the Buena Vista Luxury Villas located in Manuel Antonio. This 33-acre property is filled with a jungle-lined hillside that gently slopes down to a tropical secluded private beach on the Pacific Ocean. This room also had a great view from the fully furnished terrace looking out at the jungle and stunning ocean views. They settled in and relaxed for the night.
The next night they went on a tour of discovery through Manuel Antonio National Park. This park plays a vital role in the global environment as it is home to a wide variety of endangered species. They loved seeing some of the animals that they had been learning about in a new way on this guided tour.
The next day was the wedding day! The morning was relaxed as they got ready together in their hotel room. They headed hand and hand to the shoreline to make their vows with toes in the sand.
The day after their wedding this couple took to the water and went on a catamaran cruise coastal adventure. This was a great way to observe the aquatic life in Costa Rica with whales, dolphins & sea turtles. After cruising along the beautiful shores of Manuel Antonio, they stopped at a secluded beach to snorkel above a tropical coral reef and enjoy a beachside picnic.
The next day they decided to explore the water some more with a Damas Island Mangrove Kayaking tour and a relaxing day at the hotel. Then the next day they leisurely explored the beautiful beaches of Manuel Antonio. This area is famous for white sand, palm-studded beaches, and tropical wildlife.
