Kara + Kyle

Kara + Kyle wanted to say I do in the beautiful Manual Antonio area with an intimate guest list of under 20 guests. They wanted to make sure the design and planning process was easy and didn't take up too much of their time so they could really enjoy being engaged while taking care of their newest addition - a beautiful red headed baby that never stops smiling.

morning at the costa verde hotel

For the venue, we selected somewhere that everyone could stay and enjoy the space with multiple options for ceremony and reception. The wedding design vibe was tropical and romantic, with thoughtfully placed pastel colors for a soft and classic look. We decided on white, ivory, lavender, blush, and peach for the pastel colors. We wanted to add touches of tropical to brighten it up a bit so we used orchids and ginger with foliage in varying shades of green. To soften up the look a bit we used more elegant flowers like the roses as well. We really loved the balance of this wedding.

The for oceanfront ceremony, everyone sat in warm wood chairs with florals tied along each aisle chair. A wood framed arch with beautiful soft tropical flowers cascading in one corner stood with the beach with the sound of the waves crashing behind it. They exchanged loving vows with their daughter as the main witness and then they did a sand mixing ceremony. This is when they choose 3 different colored sands for each part of the family unit and mix it all together into one big vase. It is a really sweet idea especially with a kiddo! After, they sealed everything with a kiss and headed out to the shore to celebrate!

Everyone was welcomed to the beachfront cocktail hour with coco locos in fresh coconuts. They played cornhole and giant Jenga as everyone watched the sun slip behind the waterline.

Costa Verde ceremony

The reception was simple and tropical with wood tables and wood chairs. One long table with a long running centrepiece made of alternating whole pineapples and pineapple vases with soft pastel florals. The table was warmly lit with pillar vases and floating candles in different sizes and votives. Loose flowers and tropical greenery will get tucked in organically throughout the center of the table to create a bit more dimensions. There were Monstera leaves used as place cards with white writing for the names.
