We love planning intimate weddings for those kinds of couples who are so clearly soulmates, which was definitely the case for these two lovebirds. Megan + Taylor live a cozy, simple life with their pup Wally in Texas. During the 10 years they spent dating, they traveled all over the world to Las Vegas, London, Ireland, Paris, and New Mexico making memories. Yet they both agreed that out of all the special places in the world they visited, Costa Rica held a very dear place in their hearts. Having a destination wedding here was a dream they shared since 2014, and we were so happy to bring this tropical party dream to life for these adorable newlyweds!
We especially loved how this sweet couple incorporated personal touches throughout their big day to share more of their unique story. Megan wore her grandmother’s stunning headpiece embellished with pearls. Tyler, an avid comic book collector since he was 5 years old, wore matching batman socks with his best man! These were the perfect personal pieces to shed light on their love story and reflect who they are as a couple.
Although they met briefly in high school, they didn’t officially start dating until their paths crossed again at Texas State University. Megan told us that Tyler won her over at a party while flirtatiously showing off during a beer pong game. Tyler was going for the game-winning shot when he said to Megan "If I make this shot you have to go on a date with me next Friday". Of course, he won the game and won Megan over - the rest is history!
Megan shared a special first look with the two most important men in her life - her dad & soon-to-be hubby! We loved capturing these unforgettable moments in the courtyard so they can be cherished for years to come.

The bride and groom envisioned an intimate, elegant, chic wedding with a tropical twist. Their beautiful beachside ceremony took place in the wooded area at El Mangroove which was perfectly shaded to combat the Costa Rican heat. We placed handheld fans on each of the guests’ chairs to keep everyone extra comfy and cool. The gold circular wedding arbor, decorated with asymmetrical flowers and abundant tropical greenery, created the perfect central arch.
The bride requested bright and bold flowers balanced by lush green foliage. The bridal bouquets were breathtaking as they featured beautiful exotic flowers such as orchids, birds of paradise, and flamingo lilies. We incorporated more pops of color with pink, coral, and red-toned roses paired with monstera and palm leaves for a tropical boho feel.
Just steps away from the beach ceremony, the reception was held outside in the garden. Our team moved the gold circular wedding arbor from the beach to the reception space placing it behind the sweetheart table. Our favorite pieces? The vintage single-fin surfboard greeted guests by displaying their seating accommodations under “Surf to this Seat” & the custom jean jacket with the bride’s new last name - of course!

We loved this lively and whimsical look for the reception - the hardwood floor with strands of cafe lights created a gorgeous warm glow for dinner and an enticing dance floor. They danced the night away in style and made memories to last a lifetime!
