Playa Hermosa and Playa Panama are both small communities with great local character located in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica. The quiet town of Hermosa grew up around a fishing community and offers a peaceful setting for a vacation. With easy proximity at only a 25-minute drive to the international airport in Liberia, Playas Hermosa and Panama enable you to enjoy a refreshing Imperial on the beach within a little over an hour of landing at the airport.
Playa Hermosa and Playa Panama are known for calm swimmable waters, snorkeling, and access to nearby scuba diving, sport fishing, or sailing. You can take a shot at skimboarding in Hermosa, a favorite activity of locals. There is a small movie theatre, a grocery store, a few shops, and beachfront restaurants to enjoy such as Aquasport or El Velero (love their ceviche!). A short drive away is Playas del Coco which offers a wide range of shops, restaurants, and a busier nightlife. Many more activities such as hiking, surfing, waterfalls, wildlife riverboat tours, and whitewater rafting are within a 1 to 2-hour drive.
There are a few great venues around Playa Hermosa and Playa Panama. This area offers intimate spaces for smaller guest lists such as a relaxed event at one of the small restaurants along the beach. Bosque del Mar offers comfortable rooms for your guests and a beautiful open-air covered event space. Aquasport is a beachfront restaurant that offers events. And El Mangroove in Playa Panama offers unique rooms, and garden space for a reception.
