Via + George are such a special couple. We felt so close to them through the entire planning process. They live in Canada but already LOVED Costa Rica. Which made it such an easy decision for their destination wedding.
They didn’t have the opportunity to take any pre-wedding photos back in Canada before they headed over so they made sure to plan a Tamarindo Pre Wedding photoshoot for before the big day.
We always suggest this because you also have time to meet your photographers and become comfortable in front of the camera. You also get to explore and enjoy time together, which is so important to plan some alone time during the planning process. Trust us – it gets so hectic you will want that time to just enjoy one another without any wedding talk.
This adorable duo had never been to Tamarindo, they skipped this beachside paradise on their first trip to Costa Rica which was nearly 8 years prior to the big day.
The bride said “We fell in love with the country and we knew it would be the perfect place for us to celebrate our love. But I was still a bit nervous about what to expect planning a wedding somewhere I had never even been to! I am happy to say it exceeded all my expectations. It had the beach feel I wanted with the organization, food, and vendor selection that I would expect in a wedding in Canada.”
The couple wore casual beach attire to fit the laid back atmosphere of Tamarindo. They headed to the beach via the Sendero a la playa beach access which is located near the hotel Pueblo Dorado & El Tesoro. They look the little walkway down and danced under the lush green trees. They frolicked on the beach and dipped their toes in the water that stays warm all year long.
They watched as surfers paddled out into the ocean to catch the next swell and as tourists rode horseback through the sand. They passed locals selling artisan gifts on the beach and watched as families gathered with laid out blankets to watch the sunset.
They soaked in some of those last moments as an engaged couple. They laughed at every little and big moment that brought them to this special day. As they watched the sun slip into the horizon they walked back to their villa hand and hand, ready for the next big adventure.
