Beach Trash the Dress

Shannon + Russel said I do at an in micro wedding on Dominicalito beach. The bride actually had two beautiful gowns and decided to do a trash the dress shoot with her hubby the day after the wedding.

First they did a few photos on the shoreline before running hand in hand into the ocean and let the warm Costa Rican waves crash over them. You can see from the photos that they really had so much for with this!

Then they took this trash the dress idea a little bit further and rolled around on the sandy shore line and took some drone shots! To say the least, the dress was completely ruined but the memories were 100% worth it!

Beach trash the dress is such a fun way to get rid of the stress of planning a wedding and have some carefree fun with your partner. Let’s be honest.. what are you really going to do with that dress anyway?

** As a safety note, we do not recommend jumping off a boat into the water with a large gown on.. The gown can become heavy and be difficult to swim in, as well as it can cover your head and create a drowning risk. We really recommend a beach setting – lounging on the shore or running to the waters edge to prevent this. We also alway encourage you to be with your partner, a photographer, or with friends so you always have help if needed.

My favorite thing about destination weddings is watching all of the guests explore a new place! I, myself, love learning more about this tropical paradise. I also really enjoy how every single event is completely different and really reflects the couple and their love story.
