Rehearsal Dinner in the Caribbean

We are excited to share more about this beautiful wedding week in the Caribbean. The Dominican Republic was wonderful to explore, and the variety of venues at Casa de Campo made this wedding week really unique!

Constance and Andy wanted everyone to become acquainted and mingle a bit before their big day. This was achieved with a beach barbecue party at Playa Minitas for the first event, to welcome all of the guests. Guests traveled from all over the world and a laid-back event was the perfect choice for guests while still adjusting to the time difference and switching to vacation mode! Everyone enjoyed the relaxed evening on the beach.

The next day included an intimate seaside rehearsal dinner for the night before the wedding. The marina in Casa de Campo provided a change in scenery while maintaining that coastal vibe.

It was a more intimate dinner party with family and the wedding party. Everyone sat at one family-style long table with views of the yachts gliding into the marina to dock. There was some weather uncertainty so tables were set up inside. Fortunately, the skies cleared just before guests arrived allowing for dining open air. You could hear the waves and the birds all around you, it really captured an exotic paradise atmosphere to kick off the wedding weekend!

Everyone was excited to try the fresh seafood from the area. Culinary chefs cooked colorful seafood paella right there by the table. Toasts were given throughout the dinner courses, sharing stories about college life, work stories, and travel adventures. My favorite was the references about college life consisting of studying and video games, given the couple and so many guests in the group work in technology haha!

Everyone laughed at old memories with the couple as they soaked in the views. The mood was light and warm as they sat beneath twinkling lights that really transformed the space. The sun started to set and the colors bounced off the water, for a breathtaking sunset.

My favorite thing about destination weddings is watching all of the guests explore a new place! I, myself, love learning more about this tropical paradise. I also really enjoy how every single event is completely different and really reflects the couple and their love story.
