If you are in the midst of planning your destination wedding and decided to check out the venue in person with a preplanned site visit, check out our top recommendations for what to do when you’re there!
Let’s Cover the List of Possible To-Dos on a Site Visit:
- Explore the Wedding Venue(s)
- This may seem like a given, but by checking out the ceremony spot first hand you can better envision the design, feel the vibe, ensure you love the layout, and answer any lingering questions. By seeing the space in person, you’ll avoid second-guessing and last-minute doubts.
- Visit the accommodations you are offering to your guests OR preferably, stay at the resorts/hotels for the real deal experience!
- Check out possible Welcome Party and/or Rehearsal Dinner locations
- Wedding venue menu tasting, drink selections, and signature cocktail tasting
- Some venues even have mixologists, and we can arrange for them to customize a cocktail with you!
- The seamless arrival experience with our team
- What better way to feel at ease about your guests’ experience than to experience it yourself? We will schedule the same drivers for airport transportation during your site visit as we will have to transport your guests. By the time you come back for your wedding weekend, it’ll be like seeing old friends!
- Experience the town(s) of interest
- Allow yourself some time to explore the town. Experience the authentic Pura Vida culture that your guests will inevitably fall in love with and deepen that connection you and your spouse will have to the town where you’re married.
- Try out any other activities you and your guests may be interested in.
- Our favorite activity? Catamaran Cruises!
- Meet with some of your potential vendors!
- You’ll have a lot of interaction with some of your vendors on your wedding day, and there is no substitute for meeting them face-to-face first. When the wedding weekend comes, you’ll feel that much more comfortable and confident with the team you have chosen. Some of the vendors you can meet during your site visit include:
- Cake Tastings
- Hair + Makeup Trials
- Photographers (Perfect time to get those engagement photos!)
- We can check with some musicians and deejays to see if they have shows during your trip in the town(s) you are visiting.
