I honestly don’t know where to begin with how perfect Mil Besos made our entire wedding experience. Meghan is so attentive and prompt responding to emails and helped with everything from choosing vendors, to suggesting Honeymoon locations, to every little detail about our day. She was so thorough, and our day could not have gone smoother! Her team is incredible, and her connections in the wedding community in Costa Rica are invaluable. She was there with us every step of the way and I highly recommend her. I even told some of my wedding planner friends at home about her and they were even impressed when I told them how helpful and amazing she was! She’s the best and I would hire her again in a second!

We can’t believe it’s nearing six months since our beautiful wedding trip, and we would be remiss if we didn’t thank Meghan and her wonderful team for making it all happen in a truly breathtaking fashion. Mil Besos helped us plan a 5 day trip for 45 guests to Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort in Playa Tamarindo, with our wedding ceremony taking place at Pangas Beach Club. Meghan and team coordinated our guest’s accommodations, travel to and from the airport, excursions, and the wedding day, of course. My husband and I have a crazy work and personal schedule, so the thought of coordinating a wedding in another country was daunting, but Meghan made it all seem effortless! I live in the U.S., so we corresponded through email and used a project management app, which made it super easy to plan and talk with her during the work day or send a quick note through my phone when I was out and about. Meghan understood the wedding details that were most important to us and helped us choose (and successfully book) the vendors that made our vision materialize (and within our price points too!). She was extremely responsive throughout the planning process, always responding to questions or comments within a day or two, if that.

When our group arrived in Costa Rica, the Mil Besos team helped our guests with any questions and travel/excursion adjustments they wanted to make along the way. That was a MAJOR win for my husband and me; we were able to just enjoy the trip, rather than play the role of trip coordinators. On the day of the wedding, Meghan, Sol, and Artflower were a force to be reckoned with! They made sure our guests and bridal party were where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be there and the venue was all ready to go.

It was truly a joy and pleasure to work with the whole Mil Besos team on our wedding, and we’ll treasure these memories forever!

My husband and I used Mil Besos to plan our small wedding and honeymoon. We changed our plans drastically at least three times (from a larger wedding to an elopement and then back to a small wedding with only a month to spare). And although I know that it was so much extra work for Meghan at times, she made things seamless and perfect. My husband and I had never even been to Costa Rica before so rest assured we had questions about absolutely everything. Meghan was absolutely wonderful.

Catalina, the designer that worked with Meghan during the planning process, was also wonderful. She had a great eye. Together, they really went above and beyond to execute what we had imagined. The driftwood arch we had imagined, for example, turned out to be exactly what we had described wanting, even though we didn’t have a real picture to go off of. The ceremony in Tamarindo was absolutely beautiful and was exactly what we had imagined. The details were perfect and even though a thunderstorm erupted right before the ceremony and everything had to be moved, they all handled it with such grace and patience. They made me feel so calm and like I honestly had to do nothing at all.

I would recommend them 10 out of 10 times and then over and over again.

My husband and I got engaged while visiting Costa Rica and quickly decided we wanted to get married there as well the following year which is where Meghan from Our Costa Rica Wedding/Mil Besos comes in. From my original contact with Meghan, to the very last detail and wrap up, I felt as if I was her #1 client and of upmost importance to her (which every bride wants to feel, right!?). She and her staff are incredibly professional and insightful. I could never have dreamed of having such a delightful wedding planning experience especially in another country. We actually had fun getting to know one another via emails each step of the way. As a wedding planner, it is obvious Meghan has a love for her job and has all the right contacts for putting together a picture perfect event. She and her staff easily guided me through every detail pointing out the multiple options and giving opinions when I needed them (which was often). She helped me pick out the best vendors to meet my every need and I’m truly glad I followed her guidance. One thing I valued most about her services was the trip planning for each guest so that I would have to answer as view questions as possible. She booked activities, transportation, and rooms for each person taking a large amount of stress off me.

As for the wedding day itself, I kept saying and want to emphasize “I never thought I would’ve gotten practically everything I wanted and dreamed for in a destination wedding, but wow did Meghan deliver!” It was amazing, stunning, organized, and picturesque!!! Not at all like the cookie cutter weddings you get at a typical resort in the Caribbean.

To be honest, the thought of a destination wedding worried me at first. I’m a bit of a control freak. I thought… Would our friends and family travel? Could we afford it? Could I effectively convey my vision via internet and phone? How would the planning come together if I’m not there to oversee it? All of these questions and any other worries I had were quickly washed away with Meghan’s confidence and encouragement! She walked us through the entire process… and made it easy and fun.

We married in Playa Hermosa on the beach at sunset, birds chirping, waves crashing, monkeys playing in the trees above. It was magical and breath-taking! Meghan helped us pick the perfect venue, caterer, DJ, musician, officiator, etc. Catalina, her designer, helped us bring together all of the details such as flowers, table arrangements, lighting, etc. Both of these women are lovely, grounded, creative and kind. By the time we were finished planning, I felt like they could finish my sentences. It felt like they were childhood friends, and frankly, I fell in love with both of them!

I simply could not say enough good things about Mil Besos and our experience. I highly recommend you contact Meghan immediately. If you are the least bit curious… go for it! My fiance and I got engaged in March of 2018 and decided shortly thereafter we wanted to do a destination wedding in Costa Rica. I reached out to a ton of wedding planners in Costa Rica and as soon as I received a response from Meghan I wanted to hire her! She was immediately so helpful, so knowledgeable and made the daunting task of planning a wedding abroad seem easy. We set up a Skype call and she helped us narrow down 3-4 venues to look at. Fast forward later and we booked Pangas Beach Club as our venue for December 2019.

Meghan put is in contact with all of the best vendors. Meghan’s team is also amazing to work with! I worked with Cata on the florals and design aspects. Cata was always available by email, phone, text, etc. She really understood the vision I had for the wedding and made my design dreams a reality.

My guests worked with Arlene to book their hotels, airport transportation, etc. Arlene was super responsive and my guests all had wonderful things to say about how helpful she was in booking their plans.

Kristina was my day-of coordinator and she was so cool to work with. She really put me at ease and made me feel relaxed on my wedding day. She was super on top of things and such a boss.

Meghan is so knowledgeable about weddings in general, not to mention her specialized knowledge of all things Costa Rica. There wasn’t a single question I had that Meghan couldn’t answer for me. Her team was simply amazing. The wedding day went EXACTLY as planned with about 90 guests attending.

I don’t know that I can adequately convey how absolutely wonderful Meghan and Sol were throughout the entire process of planning and executing our destination elopement.

Sol was our wedding coordinator on our BIG day who I felt an immediate connection with. It was like having a best friend with me every step of the way. Everything came together splendidly with her talents, patience, organizational prowess, and impeccable design.

Our elopement went off without a glitch and because of you all. We were able to relax and enjoy the day. To say it was a perfect day is a vast understatement.

We just got back last week from the most amazing experience and I have Meghan to thank for it. With her help we had the perfect intimate ceremony but also hotels that suited our style, activities with the best ever guides, and reliable drivers.

We were able to just enjoy and not have any of the typical stress involved with travel – or a wedding!!! I’ve seen my friends go through stressful wedding planning and I’m so happy we decided to go on this adventure just for us. We just celebrated this past weekend with friends and family at home and surprised them with our announcement! Meghan even prepared with our photographer to have a sneak peek of photos ready for our party at home.

I had a clear vision of what I wanted for our elopement. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about planning a vacation and wedding that would take place in another country and have the vision that I was going for. However, that went away right after my first conversation with Meghan. I do project management for a living. So, I’m big on the finer details, communication and follow up and staying within an established timeline and budget. This far exceeded my expectations! Every detail was covered, every question or concern was addressed and the communication and follow up was outstanding! And importantly was very respectful of our budget. We were provided with various options for how our vacation and wedding could be put together so that we stayed within our budget. We eloped; however, I still had the fun and excitement of picking out wedding decor, flowers, dinner menu, photographer..,etc. Meghan welcomed ideas that I had and she was great about providing recommendations as well.

Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and more! Many, many thanks to everyone who had a part in making our vacation and wedding day oh so special!

Everyone was so personable and professional. Meghan, Heidi (The Westin) Sylvia (Photographer), all of the hotel/resort employees (Arenal Springs Hotel and Spa and The Westin- Playa Conchal), Mistico Hanging Bridge Tour employees and CR transportation… they all made us feel special; not just on our wedding, but over the course of the entire trip! It’s been 2 weeks since we returned from our trip and we are still on cloud 9!

What can I say but amazing! We decided to do a small wedding that included our kids only as we were blending families.

Meghan took care of every detail and was so flexible in changing dates when we had to make adjustments.

We were married on the beach at the Westin Guanacaste and it was simply breathtaking. Even though it was a small group of 6 we always felt as special as a larger wedding. Flowers food officiant photographer the set up on the beach.

I was totally thrilled when I came across Mil Besos last year. I am not a planner myself, so I was relieved to find somebody who could plan not only my wedding but my entire wedding getaway, from the legalities to wedding vendors, hotels, and excursions. Meghan Cox was super friendly and responsive right from the start, but I guess my touch of inner-pessimism was holding out for some sort of hiccup. Well, I just returned from Costa Rica last weekend and I can tell you that throughout the entire six months of planning, through to my return home, there was not one single hiccup! During the planning stages Meghan was very knowledgeable and insightful. She took into account our wishes but made suggestions and gave lots of good advice. The wedding itself was seamless. The coordinator, hair/makeup artist, and chauffer showed up at our hotel when they were supposed to and each provided excellent service. My bouquet was beautiful and just as I had discussed with Catalina, as was the ceremony space set up next to the waterfall where we were married. Our amazing photographers met us there and followed us back to the beach after the ceremony, and my husband and I had time for a celebratory glass of wine before we made our way to the restaurant where Meghan has made us reservations. Everything just went perfectly to plan. I would highly recommend Meghan and the Mil Besos team to anyone who wants an easy, romantic wedding in beautiful Costa Rica!
